Kristen Eveland spent 13 years teaching grades K–6 in San Diego before moving into a role as a K-8 district curriculum coach in 2014. She has helped implement a district-wide 1:1 iPad program and facilitated curriculum adoptions for English-Language Arts, Math, and History–Social Science in addition to supporting new and veteran teachers with curriculum implementation and innovative instructional practices. She is a Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Mathematics trainer for the San Diego State University Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education and is also certified in Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD).
Kristen has presented sessions on technology integration and professional development coaching strategies at San Diego CUE Conferences and CUE National Conferences, and is passionate about the opportunities technology can provide in partnership with student-centered teaching and learning.
Kristen is an adjunct professor for University of San Diego and has also taught for National University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and her Master of Arts degree in Teaching, Learning, and Technology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
