Students in this 9th Grade World History at LTHS, La Grange, IL provide specific feedback to each other as they are coached through the process by their teacher.
Students highlight specific areas on their peer’s work and then use the ladder of feedback protocol to provide growth comments. They are instructed to use the success criteria that is on the board to help each student be a “rock star.”
Using the evidence provided by their peers, they first review the document, then use success criteria to strengthen student work and then have the opportunity to confer with their partners.
The protocol asks for students to start with something positive and then draw conclusions about what needs to be done to improve and create an action plan.
