Any data protocol can lose momentum if it isn’t implemented correctly or easily, so if we want these protocols to gather traction, we need to ensure that we have a system that is easy to replicate.

In this video, Julie Munn, principal of Kelsey Norman Elementary in Joplin, MO, talks about the ease of implementing the EAA Team Meeting Protocol – Analyzing Student Work. She highlights that teachers want to meet to analyze student work and plan collective actions once they see the results in their classrooms.

The school had already started using data teams earlier and she saw real success with this protocol because the teachers could dig deeper and see the impact in the student work.

Where have you struggled with data collection protocols and how could using the EAA Team Meeting protocol to examine student work improve learning at your school? Please share.
