Lisa Cebelak is a partner consultant for The Core Collaborative and a national education consultant. She also taught English Language Arts at the high school level for over a decade and was an instructor in Costa Rica.
Lisa has experience working with elementary and secondary teachers, support staff, principals and curriculum directors. Lisa facilitates professional development onsite and also provides follow up implementation visits in various areas such as Using Data to Drive Instruction, Curriculum, Standards and Assessments, Literacy and Common Core. She is passionate about what happens after training is provided. She works to make sure educators are comfortable with collaboration and understand how to monitor their actions by reflecting on their learning. Lisa feels this is crucial and often the missing component for true implementation of professional development to be sustained.
Lisa has presented at a variety of state and national conferences and institutes, including ASCD. She has authored chapters for two books focusing on the Common Core State Standards. Her passion is working with teachers and coaches on building internal capacity for school districts and reflecting on best practices to improve student and teacher learning.
