Strengthening Student Efficacy: The Formative Assessment Process in Action

The videos in this chapter illustrate the use of the EAA Classroom Protocol. The EAA Classroom Protocol has been developed to provide guidance to teacher learning teams and instructional leaders when implementing the formative assessment process into classroom culture.

All of the videos were recorded during the school day during instructional time.

Impact Teams use video often to scale up expertise regarding formative assessment with our Lesson Study and Micro-Teaching Protocols.

Jessica Vigliotti and Courtney McGinn, kinder ICT teachers at PS 45 in Staten Island, New York, are engaging their students in self and peer assessment using the emergent writing continuum her kinder Impact Team developed. She recorded this video during instructional time.
