Luis Morales Guidos is a musician, producer, and visual artist with 30+ years of professional experience as well as training in multicultural education and adolescent mentorship. As a Queer mestizo Latnx with a commitment to the expansion of the arts within diverse communities, Luis has trained in the Ella Baker Freedom School and Audrey L. Smith Developmental Center where he taught Afro-centric curriculum and provided arts and cultural exposure to at-risk youth. Drawing on his education at San Francisco State University in Interdisciplinary Studies in the Creative Arts, he has been an instructor, mentor, and tutor who has supported his students through the development of events and classes in socio-emotional development, conflict resolution, and creative expression.
A Bammy Award winner for the Best World Music Album, Luis draws on his vast experience as a singer/performer for bands such as Avance, VibraSÓN, Montuno Swing, and Pop Fiction, performing with musicians such as El Chicano, Malo, Voices of Latin Rock, and the Escovedo family. In his musicianship, his eclectic work ranges in a diversity of genres from pop and salsa to experimental noise and whatever he can squeeze in between.
