The Mimi and Todd Press (MTP) Team is thrilled to announce Starr Sackstein as our new publisher. Starr will set the overall direction for Mimi and Todd, while staying true to our mission of discovering, mentoring and publishing purpose-driven thought leaders who are striving to make a difference in the world.
Sometimes people come into your life at exactly the right time – Starr is one of those people. In a short amount of time she has: expanded our reach on social media, brought new and fresh ideas to our leadership team, made incredible impact with our TCC Blog AND is one of the most authentic people I know.
One of the things that I admire most about Starr, is her genuine interest in promoting our TCC Partner Consultants’ special gifts and talents. Starr has no ego and truly wants our team and our schools to succeed.
Starr comes to MTP with extensive experience as an author, developmental editor, blogger and social media manager. She has published with six different publishing companies (ASCD, Corwin, Rowman & Littlefield, Rutledge, Times 10, Dave Burgess Consulting). Starr wrote a syndicated blog, Work In Progress, for EdWeek Teacher. In addition, she has authored multiple journal articles and blogs for various outlets. Starr grew the ECET2 brand to great success as a social media manager.
As Publisher, Starr’s major responsibilities will be:

- Developmental editing
- Project management
- Author and publication branding
- Bridging Core Collaborative services to MTP
- Leveraging social media and print marketing
- Refining and developing The Core Communiqué (The TCC Blog)
