RTI/MTSS Effective Instruction Conference

This session will challenge educators to give voice to the students and families they serve and guide them on a path towards providing all students with access to Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education (CRSE) and Formative Assessment. Traditional grading and assessment puts many kids on losing streaks. Learn how to create conditions for self-empowerment to advance learner agency. We will explore high impact strategies to begin this process as well as to build critical consciousness so that students are empowered to own their learning and create change in their lives, thereby disrupting the status quo. It is time to “Amplify the Voice” of all students and families through CRS formative assessment.

The Impact Teams Multi-Tiered System of Supports (IT-MTSS) Framework is the only MTSS model that empowers learners to drive their learning by determining personalized tiered-support through self-peer assessment, reflection and goal setting. Our model provides a proactive, learner-centered, strengths-based approach for learning acceleration to close opportunity gaps through the principles of deliberate practice. When students are empowered to own their learning they develop the academic, social and emotional dispositions to amplify learner power.
